The vast majority of your vehicle’s Mercedes-Benz service schedule is broken down into two collections: Mercedes-Benz Service A* and Mercedes-Benz Service B*. In general, you’ll schedule a service appointment once every 10,000 miles, alternating between A Service and B Service with each visit. Depending on your mileage and on your driving habits, additional checks may be included with your visit**. These will be designated with the letters C through F.
You should schedule your first Mercedes-Benz Service A* appointment after 10,000 miles, or roughly one year, on the roads near Mayfield and Cleveland. Here’s what’s included with the visit:
It’s time to schedule Mercedes-Benz Service B* after you hit the 20,000-mile marker. Most of the same services are covered, but you’ll also receive a few additional checks and replacements:
For the rest of your vehicle’s lifespan, you’ll go back and forth between these two service packages. After 30,000 miles, you’ll schedule Service A once again. After 40,000 miles, it’s time for another Service B appointment. With this alternating process, you’ll cover almost all of the services your Mercedes-Benz requires.
Although we recommend that Beachwood-area drivers keep a manual record of their Mercedes-Benz service schedule, all new vehicles made after 2006 come equipped with the ASSYST PLUS service tracker, which automatically alerts you when it’s time to bring your vehicle in. It even tracks how driving conditions and habits are impacting your vehicle’s performance, and adjusts your intervals accordingly. Whenever it’s time to schedule Service A or Service B, you’ll see a notification on your dashboard. If additional services are required, you may see “Mercedes-Benz Service C,” or notice the letter D, E, or F! There’s nothing to be alarmed about: You’ll gear up for a normal service appointment, but you’ll receive a few extra checks while you’re in the shop.
